The prices listed here are provided by MarbeTaxi, a private company operating under the legal framework set by the Junta de Andalucía and current Spanish regulations. MarbeTaxi is not part of the regular taxi fleet at Malaga Airport, whose fares are set by the Malaga City Council.
Regular Malaga Airport taxi prices are not fixed. They include various rate components such as the base fare, minimum fare, time taken to complete the journey, distance travelled, and tariff bands depending on whether it’s nighttime (from 00:00 to 6:00 am), a weekday, a public holiday, or special days like Christmas or New Year’s Eve.
Therefore, Malaga Airport taxis do not operate with fixed prices; their fares are determined by the taximeter, which is affected by all the aforementioned variables.
Malaga Airport Taxi Rank
The official taxi rank at Malaga Airport is located outside Terminal 3, which is the only terminal for flight arrivals. To find it, exit the arrivals hall and head to the right-hand side of the building, following the signs leading to the taxi passenger queue.
To meet the high seasonal demand, Malaga Airport provides free parking for taxis, which generally ensures good coverage most of the time. However, during peak hours or the high season, the availability of taxis at the airport rank may be limited, and temporary shortages can occur.
In such cases, we kindly ask for your patience. Malaga taxis are required to serve a mandatory weekly shift at the airport, so the taxi rank will be regularly replenished with new available vehicles as drivers finish their trips.
